WHAT IS hCG
Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is a hormone that is present in a large quantity during the early stages of pregnancy. Although not FDA approved, hCG has been linked to weight loss and a healthier overall lifestyle. The HCG diet was designed to help those requiring to lose more than 20 lbs. It is traditionally combined with a very low caloric diet intake of 500 calories.
HCG is better known as a group of amino acid that works to decrease appetite and speed up your body’s natural ability to metabolize fat. HOW DOES THE hCG DIET WORK
The HCG diet is a 500 calorie a day diet for men and women wanting to lose over 15-20 lbs. There are two have a medically supervised diet programs one lasting 23 days and the other is a 40-day program.
When HCG is injected for weight loss, patients report they feel more full and are less hungry. The 500 calorie diet is extreme and should only be entertained under the supervision of a medical provider.
Many people report feeling mild hunger over the first few days of the diet. However, many report this will pass, and by the second week you should begin to be completely satisfied by smaller caloric servings servings. The diet is retraining your body to burn fat first for fuel while your brain is adjusting your metabolic rate.
